Odysseus continue's to tell his tory. Now he is on the island of Aeolia. Odysseus went to Aeolus's palace, there Aeolus entertained and questioned Odysseus. When Odysseus asks to leave. Aeolia offers him a leather bag with all of the energies of the wind. He also used a breeze from the West to help his ships get across the sea. They sailed for nine days, and on the tenth day they saw a glimpse of their homeland. The other ship members were mad because they thought that Odysseus had untold riches of gold and silver. They opened the bags of wind, and got sent back to Aeolia. Aeolus was mad they came back because he thought that the gods were mad at Odysseus. So Aeolus demanded that Odysseus leave the island. Odysseus continued to sail for six days and six nights, when they got to Telepylus.He then faced other obsticles like a god who sent an antlag stag toward him, Odysseus stabbed it. He then took the body back to the ship, and they all had a feast. After, he divided the crew into two different groups. One group came along to Circe's house, they heard her singing and decided to go in. She turned them all into pigs. Eurylochus came back and reported what happened. Odysseus wanted to go back, so Hermes gave him magic remedies to protect him from Circe. She performed the same evils on Odysseus but he was protected. She took pity for Odysseus and cleaned him and gave him food. Odysseus did everything she wanted, and manipulated her into turning his crew back into men. They stayed with Circe for a number of months, until everyone realized they wanted to go home again.Odysseus came back to the ship, and everyone started crying. The goddess told him to make sacrifices to the dead. Odysseus rounded up his men and went back to finishing their journey to Hades.
